Gun Charges

Are your 2nd Amendment rights under threat?

If you’ve been subjected to unreasonable search and seizure and are facing gun charges, your 2nd Amendment could be at stake. And if you’ve been charged with “gun enhancements”—gun charges added onto narcotics charges—you could be subject to serious consequences, including prison and permanently losing your right to bear arms. Contact Michael Levinsohn now to protect your constitutional rights!

Did you know these California Gun Laws?

1. The state of California has some of the strictest gun laws and harshest penalties for gun charges. These charges can be misdemeanors or felonies, but even a misdemeanor conviction can result in a sentence of up to one year in prison.
2. If a gun was alleged to be possessed or used by you during the commission of another crime, additional gun charges called “enhancements” can be added to your sentence, sometimes resulting in much more severe penalties including additional prison time—up to a life sentence.
3. If you are held on a 5150 (an involuntary 72-hour psychiatric hold), even if you are found to be mentally sound by a psychiatrist, police can try to take away your weapons for up to 10 years.

by the cops?

If law enforcement officers searched your home, car, phone, business, or person, it can feel like a terrible violation of your privacy. But it can also be illegal if the search was done without a signed warrant or just cause. Knowing the legality of a search conducted against you is crucial, especially if it has resulted in criminal charges. Michael Levinsohn will leave no stone unturned to determine whether your rights have been violated by an unlawful search.

"I fully trusted his knowledge of the
law and his ability to prevail.

I was charged with multiple felony counts. I had retained Michael Levinshon and watched him turn 11 felony counts into a full dismissal. He is an amazing attorney, and without his representation I'm not sure what my outcome may have been. He delivered what he promised!"
